How to Make your Baby Sleep Well

Sometimes your baby can't sleep well at night. Have you ever experienced waking up 2 am in the morning because your baby is crying so loud? That is a really terrible situation. Worst if it happens everyday! First time parents find it difficult to make their baby sleep well at night. Here are tips you should consider to make your baby's sleeping time uninterrupted:

  • Train them to differentiate day from night. They should be sleeping at night, not day time. Their body clock should be set. Wake them early in the morning.
  • Before your baby goes to sleep, make sure that they are fed well. You can give your baby several feedings during day time.
  • Have time to carry your baby before it goes to sleep. A mother's caress is the comfort zone of babies. This will help them relax and encourage them to sleep.
  • You need to set the room environment dark and cool. The baby should identify sleeping time whenever the lights are out. Don't overly wrap your baby with thick clothing. It might be too warm for them causing uneasiness.
  • Make sure that the baby's room is clean at all times. It should be dust and smoke free.
  • Don't put too much pillows in the baby's crib. The pillow might cover the baby's nose. This is very dangerous because the airway will be blocked.
  • You can also try playing a lullaby song every time the baby needs to sleep.
  • Some babies sleep well at night after an evening bath. It keep them refreshed and this will enlighten their mood.
  • Practice a daily routine for your baby such as a bedtime story or lullaby.
